Therapeutic Approach
My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and eclectic. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques depending on my client’s personality, reasons for seeking help, and desired outcomes. Some of these include cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, solution-focused, narrative, existential and logotherapy. I believe each individual deserves to have a safe space to express themselves and discuss their issues. From there, we can work together to achieve their goals.
Treatment Issues
I specialize in grief and loss. I also assist with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, codependency, family and relationship struggles, adjustment and phase of life challenges, and LGBTQ+ concerns.
Treatment Population
Adults of all ages and stages, beliefs and orientations.
My Journey
I was raised by two counselors but did not “follow in their footsteps” as a young adult. Instead, I pursued a career in science and engineering. Yet they did instill in me compassion and a heart for helping people which made a big impact on my personal connections. During this time, I faced some typical challenges but always with some kind assistance from others. I grew to believe that 1) none of us will go through life unscathed and 2) none of us can survive it alone, no matter what society tells us.

Several years ago, I experienced a significant loss which made me question my career path and led me on a journey of self-discovery. I felt a strong calling to use what I have learned from my own struggles to help others. Thus, I became a social worker and have enjoyed working with different populations in various ways. Now I am excited to be a therapist with New Beginnings Counseling Center helping individual clients.
